WORDS Julian de la Celle
Academy award winning actor Adrien Brody (The Pianist, The Darjeeling Limited, Hollywoodland) stars in a new H&M holiday campaign entitled "Come Together" directed by acclaimed director Wes Anderson (The Royal Tenenbaums, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Moonrise Kingdom). The short film has Brody portraying a train conductor who must tell his passengers that their arrival time has been delayed... by 11 hours, meaning that everyone will be spending Christmas on the train together. It's everything you'd expect from an Anderson directed piece: carefully crafted color schemes and fonts, a plethora of antique furniture and equipment, and hilariously odd situations. As a bonus, the song "Happy Christmas" by John Lennon can be heard towards the end while everyone is together around a christmas tree. I would have never foreseen an H&M & Wes Anderson collaboration, but I think it adds a certain relevance and creative direction that has been lacking with the brand for some time now.
