As part of the British Fashion Council’s NEWGEN series, Phoebe English presented a well-balanced Autumn Winter 2018 collection. The colours ranged from black and white to deep navy blue, azure, grey as well as red, with an enormous wall of contrasting garments providing a canvas from which the looks stood out. The overall theme of the collection focused on form and functionality through the use of lambswool yarn as well as thick knits.

Styled by Ellie Grace Cumming, the collection featured black wide-legged trousers with large turnups as well as smart cropped trousers alongside joggers featuring intricate drawstring detail. Long detailed shirts were paired up with structured coats with sleeves turned up. The collection also employed traditional knitwear design in hats, scarves and jumpers through chunky knitting accompanied by different rib stitches.

The AW18 collection looked extremely practical, featuring items that could easily be worn in everyday situations. Phoebe English created a luxury menswear collection that still maintained an element of comfort around it.
