Sean Lennon

When you've got Sean Lennon, son of John and half of The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger, and Les Claypool, singer of Primus and all out madman, you can expect to have your mind blown at some point during the night. I've wanted to see Sean play live for a long time now, hoping to catch him with GOASTT and have always been into Claypool's epic basslines so to get the chance to see them both in their new psychedelia influenced group was incredibly exciting!

Les Claypool

When Sean sings, especially in this project, you can't help but stand in disbelief with how similar his voice is to his father's - when he sang Tomorrow Never Knows by The Beatles it was especially shocking. He comes on stage with a green satin jacket and is handed his signature glittery green Bilt guitar. Claypool then begins playing a catchy bass line to go along with Sean's guitar effects and the band begins. Their set mixed together new songs, songs from their past groups and a few covers - notably Aqualung by Jethro Tull, Astronomy Domine by Pink Floyd and In The Court of the Crimson King by King Crimson. This show will go down as one of the best I've seen in a long time and hope to catch them again soon!
